Christa Filak, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician seeing patients ages newborn to 18. After graduating from Chicago Medical School, she completed her residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. From the time she was a child, she knew she wanted to be a physician.

Dr. Filak sees children for well-child visits, routine check-ups, chronic illnesses, sports physicals and general pediatrics. With her patients, she takes the time to educate both parents and children about the treatment plan and sees herself as a resource to talk them through the “why, what, and how” of their care. She enjoys getting to know the families she works with and walking with her patients as they grow up.

In her spare time, Dr. Filak enjoys Crossfit and training for marathons.
